Our experts double as clinical specialists and mentors for excellent patient care and management consultants who can steward smart business growth. All our regional directors bring a unique perspective to the sites that they manage and have proven track records for top clinical quality compliance and service excellence. They are trained in fiscal management, productivity, and efficiency in clinical care. Clinical Leadership provides support to the Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Staff.

Heather de Cordova, PT | Regional Director

Heather de Cordova, Physical Therapist currently works as a Regional Director for Interstate Rehab. Heather attended undergraduate studies at University of California, Los Angeles, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She then attended University of Southern California, earning a Master of Physical Therapy degree. Heather has been practicing in the field of physical therapy for the last 28 years primarily in the field of orthopedics in both private practice and hospital settings. She is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist as well as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Ergonomist. Heather joined Interstate Rehab in 2003.

Heather is an avid long-distance triathlete and runner who has completed 14 marathons and multiple triathlons including four Ironmans. She is married with two adult sons.

Ben Butts, PT | Regional Director

Ben Butts, Physical Therapist is a Regional Director for Interstate Rehab. A board-certified orthopedic and sports specialist, Ben has lectured at California State University, Long Beach. Ben earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science from California State University, Long Beach and his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Southern California. He was one of the first graduates of the University’s Sports Residency Program. During the residency program, he served as the team physical therapist for the L.A. Sparks and West L.A. Junior College.

Ben joined Interstate Rehab in 2013. Ben enjoys hiking, going to the beach, and attending sporting events with his wife and three kids.

Minerva Garcia, PT | Director of Operations

Minerva Garcia, Physical Therapist is Director of Operations for Interstate Rehab. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of the Philippines. Her work experiences are in Acute in-patient, Home Health Services, Pediatrics and School District. Minerva joined Interstate Rehab in 1993.

Besides being a proud mother to a beautiful daughter, she is also worship leader in her church and a regular supporter of FACT (Fight Against Child Trafficking) Alliance charity group. Outside Interstate Rehab, she owns a business that provides financial education.

Irit Brian, SLP | Quality and Compliance Officer

Irit Brian, Speech Language Pathologist is the Interstate Rehab Quality and Compliance Officer. She is certified in healthcare compliance. Irit is also the Speech Therapy Department supervisor in one of Interstate Rehab’s facilities. She has extensive experience in Acute Care, Rehabilitation facilities, Outpatient, and Long Term Care. Irit joined Interstate Rehab in 2003.

Irit received her BA and MS in Communication Disorders in 1991 from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel-Aviv University, Israel. She is married with two adult children.
