DIRECTOR OF REHAB
EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
Have graduated from an approved school of Physical Therapy. Must have current California physical therapy license and possess current Healthcare Provider CPR card.
DUTIES:
Under the general direction of the Executive Director and Medical Director, he/she is responsible for the overall operation of the department. The administration of the department includes, but is not limited to the areas of finance and profitability, personnel management, employee relations, quality of care and planning and marketing. Responsible for the activities of staff members engaged in assisting patients in regaining or retaining their highest functional level considering their physical abilities and disabilities; establishes policies and procedures, standards, and objectives for the treatment of patients; evaluates the performance of staff members and maintains the departmental Quality and Performance Improvement Program. The director coordinates and supervises operation of the Departments of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST
EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
Have graduated from an approved school of Physical Therapy. Must have current California physical therapy license or be eligible for licensure and possess current Healthcare Provider CPR card.
DUTIES:
Experienced with evaluation, assessment, appropriate goal setting, and planning treatment and interventions using evidence based practices. Have a willingness to teach various audiences including (patients, staff and students). Need to stay abreast of current practices, interventions, quality assurance and program development. English communication skills are required. Bi-lingual a plus! Having a working knowledge of computers is helpful.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
Have graduated from an approved school of Physical Therapy. Must have current California physical therapy assistant license or be eligible for licensure and possess current Healthcare Provider CPR card.
DUTIES:
Provide care in accordance with the physicians’ orders, the physical therapist directions, and the patient's condition. Needs to Identify changes in the patient's condition and will consult with the PT, and implements appropriate interventions as directed. You will need to instruct the patient, their family and/or caregiver in all aspects of the patients care. Compliance needs to be maintained with all regulatory and licensing agency guidelines and standards.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
Have graduated from an approved school of Occupational Therapy. Must have current California occupational therapy license or be eligible for licensure, NBCOT certification and possess current Healthcare Provider CPR Card.
DUTIES:
Conducts a thorough and precise assessment of the patient's condition, functional abilities, homebound status, and environmental factors. Makes appropriate recommendations for necessary equipment, home modifications, referrals to facilities and other therapies as indicated. Provides care in accordance with physicians' orders and the patient's condition. Needs to identify changes in the patient's condition, consults with physician and/or Patient Care Coordinator (PCC), and implements appropriate interventions. Compliance needs to be maintained with all regulatory and licensing agency guidelines and standards.
SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
Have a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology, completion of Speech Clinical Fellowship Year Internship. Must have current California speech pathologist license or be eligible for licensure, Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by American Speech and Hearing Association and current CPR card.
DUTIES:
Evaluates patients by obtaining pertinent past history, obtaining detailed account of presenting symptoms, and performing appropriate test/evaluation/interview correctly according to standardized or recommended techniques. Need to interpret during the patient’s evaluation any findings to determine the nature and extent of the patient’s dysfunctions. Devises forms and written instructions as needed, provides accurate, timely documentation of speech therapy management. Demonstrates a high level of professional conduct commensurate with standards of the American Speech and Hearing Association and conforms to the Canons of the Established Code of Ethics. Compliance needs to be maintained with all regulatory and licensing agency guidelines and standards.
